On this months "Tussles Worth Watching" our very own Darrell Montague was featured as one of the notable fights.  This just shows how big of a fight this is going to be.  No doubt that the outcome will be the #1 ranking in the world at 125 pounds.

080511_4_fcBusiness picks up in the mixed martial arts world during the month of August, as Rashad Evans meets fellow former light heavyweight champion Tito Ortiz in a UFC 133 rematch and longtime middleweight king Anderson Silva defends his crown against top contender Yushin Okami three weeks later.

Waves will be made elsewhere in MMA, as well.

In this monthly series, we shuttle fans around the globe in an effort to broaden their MMA horizons, showcasing the best fights that might not get much attention otherwise. This month, we feature 10 bouts from six different countries, so fasten your seatbelts and hang on for a unique ride throughout world MMA.

As always, the list does not focus on the well-promoted main event bouts from major organizations fans already know to watch, but rather on fights from all over the planet that are worth seeing. The UFC, Strikeforce, Dream and Sengoku Raiden Championship are excluded by design.

Darrell Montague vs. Ian McCall
Tachi Palace Fights 10 “Let the Chips Fall,” Aug. 5 -- Lemoore, Calif.

In February, WEC veteran McCall used a superior clinch game, a varied boxing attack and good old-fashioned ground-and-pound to dethrone flyweight prodigy Jussier da Silva. After a transitory tussle against then-undefeated Dustin Ortiz, “Uncle Creepy” now challenges Tachi Palace Fights champion Montague for his 125-pound title. “The Mongoose” put a five-round beating of epic proportions on his last challenger, Ulysses Gomez, and will look to jump into the Top 3 of MMA’s lightest global weight class with another dominant performance.
